Paige Almstrom - Leicester Middle School Behavioral Specialist

Paige Almstrom is the Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) at Leicester Middle School.  In her role as a BCBA, she supports instructional and administrative personnel in the acquisition and maintenance of optimal learning outcomes for students

with autism spectrum disorder and/or other developmental disabilities.  Students may demonstrate need in all or some of the following areas:

·      Verbal and nonverbal communication

·      Social interaction skills

·      Unusual responses to sensory experiences

·      Resistance to environmental change or change in daily routines

·      Engagement in repetitive activities and stereotyped movements

·      Behavioral difficulties

·      Challenges with the general curriculum, including social and emotional development.

Through on-going progress monitoring, data collection and data analysis, Functional Behavior Assessments, behavioral intervention, consultation and collaboration, program evaluation, problem solving, staff training, and crisis management, Ms. Almstrom evaluates behaviors and designs positive behavior support plans for students who may have behaviors that are interfering with learning.
