Mrs. Ledbetter - Leicester Middle School Nurse
Our school nurse fosters the growth, development, and educational achievement of our students by promoting their health and well-being. The nurse monitors health status and identifies and addresses the unmet needs of the school community.

Regularly, the school nurse consults on school health issues with students, teachers, administrators, peers, and outside medical personnel and organizations and makes medical referrals as necessary. She provides ongoing continuing education for school staff, such as CPR/AED certification classes and Epi-pen training and collaborates with her peers to develop school health policies and programs in line with state and federal mandates. The nurse manages student medications and oversees required screening programs. The nurse ensures that students are properly immunized and manages communicable disease outbreaks when they occur.
